Description
This dataset provides a geo-referenced resistance map of two key grass-weed species — Lolium multiflorum (Italian ryegrass) and Alopecurus myosuroides (blackgrass) — to clethodim (ACCase inhibitor, Group A/1) across France. Each population was collected from a French field and characterised in a controlled greenhouse biotest, with approx. location recorded for every sampling point.

- 97 characterised grass-weed populations, all with approx. location
- Resistance classification per population: resistant (≤50% efficacy), partial resistance (51–89%), sensitive (≥90%)
- Efficacy value (% control) at the 1× recommended field dose of clethodim
- Species identification (LOLMU, ALOMY) per sample
- Sampling date and crop at the source field
- Latitude / longitude for every population
Methodology
- Seeds collected from French fields through Agris42 partner trial programmes (2022–2023)
- Greenhouse biotests under controlled conditions (GEP-certified facility)
- Spray-robot application for standardised dose delivery
- Control efficacy scored as % control at the 1× recommended field dose
- Reference sensitive population included in each test batch
- Each population classified resistant / partially resistant / sensitive on the efficacy thresholds above
